Took my car to a Cars'N'Coffee event at Warners Bay, Newcastle yesterday morning. Great turn out, first event since Covid.
When it was time to go, I noticed the remote key didn't respond, so I opened the door using the physical key in the slot.
Alarm goes off and grabs the attention of all nearby. Tried a battery reset in the boot, no good.
Drove away from the event and pulled over in a quiet spot to pull the fuse. No difference, the alarm must have its own battery.
Removed all the boot contents including spare wheel, removed the boot floor liner, then LHS liner to get to the alarm to disconnect the plug on the alarm.
Success! Threw everything back in the boot. Got home and tried the spare key, no response either.
Off to buy 2 batteries today, then put everything back together properly.
